Six female teachers across the United States have been arrested on suspicion of engaging in sexual acts with students over the last number of days, reported the New York Post.

Ellen Shell

According to local news outlet WTKR, 38-year-old Ellen Shell has been charged with third-degree rape.

The Danville, KY resident worked as a teacher's aide at Woodlawn Elementary School in Danville. Prior to that, she worked in Garrard County's Lancaster Elementary School.

She stands accused of having three sexual encounters with two 16-year-old boys between July and August of last year.

The teacher's aide was arraigned in Garrard County District Court on Thursday. April 13.

The report stated Boyle County Schools did not respond to a request for comment in time for the article's publication. However, according to the Post, Shell is currently on administrative leave pending a decision in her case.

Heather Hare

The Arkansas Times reported that 32-year-old Heather Hare surrendered to authorities at the Saline County Detention Center on Friday, April 14.

Hare is facing allegations that she had sexual relations with a student at Bryant High School, where she worked as a teacher. She's now facing a charge of sexual assault in the first degree.

She was reportedly released on Friday after posting a bond of $15,000.

Kristen Gantt

Kristen Gantt has been arrested in Des Moines, Iowa after allegedly having sex with a teenage student five times, both on and off the school campus, reported the New York Post.

Gantt (36) is accused of grooming the boy over social media before moving on to physical abuse. Police have reportedly revealed there is surveillance footage of Gantt and her alleged victim entering a classroom alone together, with a papered window obscuring the view from outside.

Gantt is now facing felony charges of sexual exploitation.

Hannah Marth

Hannah Marth, a 26-year-old javelin coach from Pennsylvania, is currently in police custody following allegations that she was having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old she was coaching, reported the New York Post.

Marth, who coached at Northampton Area High School, allegedly told officers investigating the situation that she was romantically involved with the teenager.

A press release from the Northampton district attorney revealed Marth was facing two third-degree felony charges over her alleged conduct.

The report also stated that Marth t exted the teen at around 2:00 AM on May 2021, inviting him to her residence before initiating sexual contact with him.

Three other female teachers were recently arrested for similar offenses in Oklahoma and Virginia, the Post reported.
