Well-Known Entrepreneur Warns Against Potential Kamala Harris Presidency

 August 5, 2024

Reality TV star and serial entrepreneur Kevin O’Leary has voiced concerns about Kamala Harris potentially becoming the next U.S. president and drawing parallels to Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

O’Leary warned that if Harris wins the upcoming presidential election, she could turn into America’s version of Trudeau, and he expressed concerns about her policy positions and compared her unfavorably to the far-left leader to the north, as the Daily Wire reports.

During a recent interview on NewsNation, O’Leary did not hold back on his fears regarding Kamala Harris's potential rise in U.S. politics. His remarks came during a Friday segment in which he discussed Harris’s political future and the implications of her policies.

O’Leary, a well-known business magnate, referred to Harris as the “it kid,” implying she is seen as the newest sensation in the political landscape. He depicted Harris as a “blank sheet of paper” in terms of policy positions, indicating uncertainty around her political agenda.

O’Leary Discusses Harris's Past Campaign

The entrepreneur pointed out that Harris had espoused numerous left-wing policy positions during her 2020 presidential campaign. However, specifics on these positions were not elaborated upon during the interview.

“I don’t blame her for not bringing up policy. She should just rant and rave, saying ‘I’m not Trump’ until August 7 because she’s raising so much money,” O'Leary said.

His point encapsulates the strategy he believes Harris should employ in the short term.

Yet, O’Leary's concern lies in the period after Aug. 7 when he anticipates Harris will need to reveal more concrete policies. “But then, she’s got to talk policy, and I don’t know what that looks like and nobody does because she’s like a blank sheet of paper,” he added.

Comparing Harris to Trudeau

O’Leary then made a striking comparison between Harris and Justin Trudeau, labeling Trudeau as the previous "it kid" in politics. His analogy aims at highlighting the potential pitfalls Harris might encounter.

The successful businessman criticized Trudeau for the lack of scrutiny on substance during his election.

“Nobody looked at his background, nobody looked at his policies. He was the ‘it kid.’ That country is on its knees! He wiped it out!” he exclaimed, suggesting that Canada has suffered under Trudeau's leadership.

The businessman’s comments insinuate that without thorough examination, a leader can lead a country toward economic and social decline, a fate he fears will befall the United States if Harris becomes president.

Questioning Future Political Choices

Addressing the American electorate, O’Leary posed a critical question: “Are Americans basically going to hire or basically bring a president that’s another Justin Trudeau?”

His question underscores his skepticism about the trajectory the U.S. might take under Harris's potential leadership.

His hope remains that Americans would not opt for a leader similar to Trudeau, implying that such a choice could lead to adverse consequences for the nation’s future.

Overall, O’Leary's remarks reveal a deep concern about the direction Harris might take if she wins the presidential election.

His comparison to Trudeau serves as a cautionary tale, aimed at encouraging voters to critically evaluate the policies and backgrounds of their political candidates.

Concluding his argument, O'Leary emphasized the importance of vetting political leaders to avoid potential national deterioration, a sentiment derived from his unfavorable views on Trudeau's impact on Canada.
