Renowned pop star Britney Spears suffered a head injury following a heated altercation with her husband, Sam Asghari, in London before their divorce, as the Daily Mail reported.

The 41-year-old singer and the 29-year-old actor decided to part ways this month after 13 months of marriage.

As revealed in the Fox-aired documentary, Britney Spears: Divorce & Despair, the intensity of their disputes was not uncommon.

TMZ founder Harvey Levin claimed in the documentary, "She and Sam were going at it in a hotel room, and it got so bad [that] she tripped and hit the coffee table, cracking her head open. She needed stitches."

Reports have indicated that there were numerous occasions during the couple's relationship in which the heated nature of their fights necessitated security intervention.
