Cruise Company Launches 4-Year Voyage for Americans in Wake of Trump Win
Villa Vie Residences has unveiled a unique travel package designed for a long-term escape after the presidential election.
Just days after Donald Trump's election win, Villa Vie Residences announced an extensive cruise experience allowing Americans to "skip forward" through his presidency, as Fox Business reports.
The "Skip Forward" package, announced on Nov. 7, offers a four-year cruise opportunity under Villa Vie's Tour La Vie program.
Designed to provide an extended escape, this travel package allows individuals to live and travel aboard a cruise ship, covering various global destinations over four years.
With a pricing model set at $159,999 per person for a double room and $255,999 for a single cabin, the program promises a comprehensive all-inclusive experience.
Explore New Cultures at Leisurely Pace
According to the company, the package includes multiple options for duration—ranging from one year to a full four-year journey.
Each offers unique experiences and names such as "Escape from Reality" and "Everywhere but Home."
“Residents have the flexibility to join their customized journey at any port during the continuous global adventure for up to 4 years,” explained the press release from Villa Vie Residences.
The allure of this package lies in its all-inclusive nature, covering all costs from accommodation to meals and excursions once residents are aboard.
A Respite from Real-World Concerns
The program's appeal extends to those nearing retirement or those wishing to avoid the hassle of daily expenses and the fear of outliving their savings.
Kathy Villalba, the company's chief operating officer, emphasizes this very point.
She mentions, “This program eliminates that concern altogether while offering the ultimate dream: exploring every corner of the world by sea.”
“Pay once and never worry about it again,” adds promotional material from Villa Vie's website. “The moment you step on board, your journey begins. Leave behind the familiar and embrace the unknown as you navigate the world’s most iconic and inspiring locations.”
Moreover, Anne Alms, the company's head of sales, highlights the slow travel aspect, which allows enough time to immerse in the cultural vibe of every port visited.
Bridging Differences Through Travel
Mikael Petterson, CEO of Villa Vie Residences, spoke to FOX Business about the timing of the campaign.
“Although the campaign was put together before the results of the election, we feel we have a perfect product for those who said they’d leave the country if XYZ wins the election,” he said.
Petterson continued, “We may have differing political views, but our community comes together through our passion for exploring the world in a very real way that goes far beyond politics.”
This sentiment underscores the non-partisan nature of the offering, aiming to unite people through shared experiences and adventures, irrespective of their political affiliations.
