Davis, a staunch supporter of conservative law principles and leader of the right-wing organization the Article III Project, has accused Gen. Mark Milley, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, of committing treason in his past interactions with Chinese officials, Raw Story reported.

During the Trump administration in 2021, Gen. Milley made it clear that he was not attempting to "usurp authority". Instead, he explained, he was seeking to "de-escalate" international tensions when he informed his Chinese counterparts that the U.S. would issue a warning if Trump decided upon a military attack.

Detailing his conversation with Gen. Li Zuocheng of China's People's Liberation Army, Milley stressed, "The calls on 30 October and 8 January were coordinated before and after with Secretary Mark Esper and acting Secretary Chris Miller’s staff and the interagency," adding that his goal at the time was to lower the boiling points of existing conflicts.

Davis' Accusations: From 'Advance Warnings' to 'Treason'

Veteran reporters Bob Woodward and Robert Costa brought light to Gen. Milley's diplomatic interactions with Chinese officials, reporting on his calls with Gen. Li Zuocheng.
