Google's cooperation with censorship requests from strong-arm regimes is raising critical questions about its policies and ethics.

A recent investigation uncovered that Google has been removing online content deemed critical by Russia, China, and other authoritarian governments, as the Post Millennial reports, prompting a host of questions.

According to findings by The Observer, Google has acquiesced to content removal requests from various governments, including China and Russia.

Since 2011, this tech giant has dealt with censorship demands from 150 different governments globally. These governments have targeted online content for removal, often categorized under national security, copyright, and the vaguely defined "other" category.
