Hillary Clinton says Trump presidential supporters need to be reeducated

 October 20, 2023

During a conversation with CNN's Christiane Amanpour, Hillary Clinton suggested that Donald Trump's supporters need "deprogramming" or a form of re-education, as America Insider reported.

Clinton mentioned, "So many of those extremists, those MAGA extremists, take their marching orders from Donald Trump, who has no credibility left by any measure."

She further commented, "He's only in it for himself. He's now defending himself in civil actions and criminal actions."

Raising a question, the former first lady and secretary of state inquired, "When do they break with him?"

Public Reactions Pour In

The internet didn't stay silent on her remarks. Social media platforms saw a flurry of reactions from people across various spectrums.

Fox Business host Charles Payne weighed in, expressing his concerns, by saying, "This is beyond arrogance it's scary. You know, conversations and planning are happening among the 'elite.'

He continued, "This goes against the ethos of America. The Establishment is losing in the arena of ideas despite controlling all levers of influence. Are re-education camps next?

"This could end in bloodshed," Payne concluded.

Former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany shared the interview clip on X (formerly Twitter), calling it "Hillary's new deplorable moment."

Responses to Clinton's Remarks

Several influential figures voiced their concerns about Clinton's statements.

Tennessee GOP Sen. Marsha Blackburn wrote, "Hillary Clinton wants Trump supporters to be formally reeducated. Does she know that this is America and not a Communist regime?"

Professor Wilfred Reilly remarked, "The idea that the people who believe that there are multiple human sexes, COVID lock-downs were a necessary good, and 10,000 unarmed Black men are killed by cops every year need to deprogram US really is 'resist at all costs' insane."

The Blaze editor-in-chief, Matthew Peterson, added his perspective, stating, "This is not America. This is Un-American."

Peterson added, "This is an utter rejection of what millions of American citizens hold dear. This is not what we believe in. These people are sick. But they are coordinating and acting in unprecedented ways every day now."

Strategic Support within the GOP

Clinton predicted that Trump would likely be the Republican nominee. She emphasized the importance of overcoming him and those who deny election outcomes, as was done in 2020 and the midterms of 2022.

She also stressed the need to support the appropriate individuals within the Republican party strategically, The Guardian reported.

Hillary, the 2016 Democratic candidate, famously lost her bid for the Oval Office to former President Donald Trump.
