Luke Bryan cancels another show over health issues

 August 16, 2023

Renowned country musician Luke Bryan has once again had to cancel a scheduled stop on his "Country on Tour" due to ongoing voice troubles.

Having already postponed or canceled several concerts, he returned to the stage last weekend, only to face more difficulties, as Daily Wire reported.

Announcement of Show Cancellation

The 47-year-old singer used social media platform X to send a message to his fans on Sunday, explaining the reason for the cancellation.

Bryan stated, "Dear Brandon, MS, I am regretfully going to have to cancel my show there tonight."

He added, "Under doctor advisement, after taking 6 days off to heal, I attempted to sing at both shows Thursday and Saturday, and it was a struggle."

The Toll on Bryan's Voice

In his message, he further elaborated on the toll that performing has taken on his voice.

The singer said. "Every show I sing, I'm setting my voice back. I will continue to do everything I can to get better. Please know how much you mean to me and how heartbreaking this is to do. -Luke."

The Nashville concert, which was sold out, saw Bryan taking the stage and assuring the audience that his ailment was simply a "head cold," as reported by USA Today.

However, on Monday, Bryan continued to reflect on his struggles via social media.

He thanked his family, friends, and fans for their support, saying, "Last couple shows have not been easy to get through, but I gave it my all. Thankfully my friends and family were there to support. Thank you fans, for showing up in a big way."

Uncertain Future of the Tour

Currently, Bryan's website does not provide details about whether he can perform at his next scheduled concert in Cincinnati on Thursday.

After canceling three shows the previous weekend, the singer had previously made appearances in Nashville on Saturday and Thursday.

He even posted a message to postpone a show in Utah on Aug. 4, just hours before he was to perform.

In a message to his Salt Lake City fans, Bryan explained that he had been struggling with a head cold for several weeks.

Despite spending days warming up and singing, allowing him to perform, he expressed that his condition was not improving.

He emphasized his effort in following the same routine without giving up but sadly acknowledged that he just wasn't getting better.

Tour Wrapping Up in October

The tour, fraught with challenges, is scheduled to conclude at the end of October, with the final concert to be held in Charleston, South Carolina.
