In a remarkable event live streamed to a staggering audience of 65 million viewers on Netflix, Tyson, after battling severe health issues, was beaten by Paul, however he regards his return to professional boxing, despite suffering from post-fight depression, as an achievement, as the Daily Mail reports.

The contest, held at the storied AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, marked Tyson's return to professional boxing after close to two decades.

This showdown was the topic of heated conversations due to the significant age difference between Tyson and Paul.

Originally scheduled for July, Tyson had to withdraw due to unresolved health issues, leading to the postponement of the match.

Health Crisis Fought by Tyson Outside Ring

Tyson, besides his boxing challenges, struggled with an ulcer which escalated into a significant health scare that caused him to lose half of his blood and witness a dramatic weight loss of 25 pounds.

During an interview with Fox Sports Radio, Tyson shared his journey through his health challenges and revealed feelings of depression post-match alongside his sense of pride in making his return.

Tyson devoted a grueling nine months to preparing for the fight, a time littered with health disruptions.

Tyson's Boxing Comeback Amid Health Challenges

Despite putting his best foot forward, Tyson suffered his seventh professional loss in this fight. Nevertheless, the legend saw this event as more than just a win-lose situation.

"This is one of those situations when you lost but still won," Tyson reflected. He also vividly recounted a troubling conversation with his doctor during his health crisis, questioning the chances of his survival.

Tyson shared his disbelief, to New York Magazine, when presented with options during his health crisis.

Tyson described the path to recovery, detailing the struggles of training after the health scare.

Despite the uphill battle, Tyson soldiered on to return to the ring and held his ground against Paul for eight full rounds in a packed stadium.

In a reflection on his health ordeal, Tyson characterized it less about the boxing match and more on his journey towards recovery.

Chronicling his struggle, Tyson touched on his deeper victory. "I almost died in June... Had 8 blood transfusions... Lost half my blood and 25lbs... I had to fight to get healthy," he disclosed.

Tyson emphasized that the significance of the fight surpassed the result. He shared his experience of enabling his children to see him endure eight rounds with an opponent half his age as indelibly etched in memory.

The legendary fighter concluded his comments by saying turning enemies into friends and outliving his adversaries were reflections of his success.
