New York Post columnist warns Michelle Obama could sneak into presidential race

 January 19, 2024

New York Post columnist Cindy Adams, in an article published on Wednesday, cautioned that Americans should not be surprised if Michelle Obama finds a way to enter the 2024 race.

Adams stated, "Plans are to grab Michelle for the Democratic presidency choice."

"Making the music is Barack the orchestra leader," she added.

According to Adams, the strategy involves urging President Joe Biden to step aside, creating an opportunity for Michelle Obama, as Fox News reported.

The columnist also highlighted President Biden's reluctance to engage in debates and emphasized the increasing momentum behind the idea of Michelle Obama's candidacy.

Adams implied that if Biden decides not to run, Michelle Obama could be positioned as the successor, with Barack Obama actively facilitating this scenario.

Michelle Obama's Recent Media Appearance and Concerns

In a recent appearance on Jay Shetty's On Purpose podcast, Michelle Obama expressed her fears regarding the upcoming election, particularly the possibility of Donald Trump's victory.

She conveyed her anxieties about the future and the importance of leadership in shaping the nation's direction.

"Those are the things that keep me up because you don't have control over them," she began.

Mrs. Obama went on, "And you wonder, where are we in this? Where are our hearts? What's gonna happen in this next election?"

The former first lady continued, "I am terrified about what could possibly happen because our leaders matter. Who we select, who speaks for us, who holds that bully pulpit affects us in ways that sometimes I think people take for granted."

Obama's Viewpoint on Current Political Landscape

Former President Barack Obama has also been vocal about his concerns, particularly regarding Biden's polling performance and the potential return of Donald Trump.

A Wall Street Journal report from December highlighted Obama's apprehensions about the Democratic Party's prospects in the upcoming election.

An individual familiar with Obama's thoughts shared that he is worried about a tight race and the possibility of a Democratic defeat.

Furthermore, Obama is reportedly uneasy about the alternatives to Biden from the Republican side, viewing them as threats to democracy.

The Washington Post also reported that Obama had expressed reservations about the structure of Biden's re-election campaign.

He has reportedly been involved in discussions with Biden and his team, stressing the need for the campaign to make autonomous decisions without constant oversight from the White House.
