NYT effectively clears Trump of Epstein scandal links
Hold the presses -- after years of whispers and wild accusations, a major outlet has finally admitted there’s no dirt tying President Donald Trump to Jeffrey Epstein’s vile crimes.
The New York Times, in a detailed report, has concluded that despite intense scrutiny and fresh documents, no evidence exists linking Trump to Epstein’s abuse or trafficking of minors, as LifeZette reports.
For years, speculation has swirled about Trump’s connection to Epstein, fueled by old photographs and casual quotes from the 1990s that hinted at familiarity but proved nothing sinister.
Decades of Rumors, No Evidence Found
The Times, through journalists Nicholas Confessore and Julie Tate, dug deep, interviewing over 30 people, including Epstein’s former employees, victims, and mutual acquaintances of both men.
Their findings? “An examination of their history by the New York Times has found no evidence implicating Mr. Trump in Mr. Epstein’s abuse and trafficking of minors,” the report plainly states.
That’s a far cry from the narrative pushed by some political corners, and it’s worth asking why this conclusion wasn’t shouted from the rooftops sooner.
Democrats' Push Meets Contradictory Claims
Recently, Democrat leaders and activists have ramped up efforts to paint Trump as complicit in Epstein’s misdeeds, circulating emails—some old, some newly revealed -- to suggest a tight bond between the two.
One such email, dated Feb. 8, 2017, from Epstein to former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers, shows Epstein’s disdain, stating, “recall I’ve told you… I have met some very bad people… none as bad as Trump."
Hardly the words of a supposed close confidant, yet the Democratic Party’s official X account spun it as proof of a hidden friendship, conveniently ignoring the venom in Epstein’s tone.
Emails and Accusations Fall Flat
Adding to the mudslinging, Democrats shared documents with a redacted accuser’s name to imply Trump’s guilt, only for the accuser, later identified as Virginia Giuffre, to contradict their claims.
Giuffre, who passed away earlier this year, testified under oath that Trump had no part in Epstein’s abuses and even spoke positively of his actions related to the case.
If that’s not a plot twist, what is? It’s almost as if the rush to condemn overlooked the actual voices of victims.
Historical Context Undermines Allegations
Further unraveling the narrative, Trump banned Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach in the early 2000s after inappropriate behavior toward a minor staff member.
Even Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s convicted associate, has stated that Trump was uninvolved in the criminal activities, aligning with the Times’ exhaustive review that found no substantiation for the accusations.
So, while some may cling to decades-old snapshots as proof of guilt, the facts -- and even Epstein’s own circle -- tell a different story, one that refuses to bend to political convenience.
