Report: Trump plans IRS probe into Antifa funding
Hold tight, patriots -- former President Donald Trump is reportedly preparing to deploy the IRS to dig into the murky financial underpinnings of Antifa’s disruptive activities.
In a striking segment on Sinclair’s The National News Desk, Peter Schweizer, head of the Government Accountability Institute, outlined Trump’s intention to track down Antifa’s funding sources, with recent research presented at a roundtable already spotlighting major backers and coordinated efforts across key cities, as Breitbart reports.
This eye-opening story began gaining steam last week when Trump convened an Antifa roundtable, laying the foundation for a serious probe into the money behind the mayhem.
Roundtable shines light on hidden coordination
At that pivotal meeting, Seamus Bruner, a researcher working with Schweizer, shared compelling findings with the administration, highlighting apparent coordination of unrest in places like Portland and Seattle.
Perhaps most alarming, the research singled out high-profile figures, including George Soros and his Open Society Foundations, as substantial contributors to the financial support of these disruptive groups.
If these allegations prove true, what’s often framed as spontaneous outrage could actually be a carefully orchestrated operation, and it’s about time we uncover who’s footing the bill for such chaos.
IRS poised to follow the cash
Flash forward to Tuesday’s discussion on Sinclair, where Schweizer dropped the bombshell that Trump plans to utilize the IRS to unearth the financial roots of Antifa organizations.
He pointed out that many activist groups are closely tied to tax-exempt nonprofits, which often secure large grants from influential foundations, and the IRS holds critical records that can map out these monetary flows.
“So they’re required to disclose to the IRS and something called a 990 form,” Schweizer clarified. “So you can trace a lot of the money that way.”
Multiple tracking efforts afoot
Reporter Geoff Harris added depth to the story, noting that in addition to the Trump administration, several independent research teams are diligently working to identify Antifa’s financial supporters, focusing on both individual contributors and larger organizational players.
“Along with the Trump administration, multiple research groups are actively working to track down who’s funding Antifa, both at the individual and organizational level,” Harris explained. “I’m told part of that research starts with following the money trail.”
Isn’t it curious how those who loudly decry the establishment seem to have no qualms about exploiting its tax shelters to bankroll their agendas, all while claiming moral high ground?
Boastful contributors, damning insights
Harris further revealed that Schweizer’s team has come across individuals publicly crowing about their financial contributions to these groups, a decision that might be bold bravado or a glaring miscalculation.
Schweizer himself cautioned that while the disclosed information may not capture the entire financial landscape, it still offers a powerful glimpse into who’s providing funds, who’s on the receiving end, and how those resources are being utilized to sow discord.
At the core of this issue lies a stark contradiction -- while certain activists paint themselves as grassroots warriors against systemic power, peeling back the layers through IRS scrutiny could reveal a network far more calculated and funded than their rhetoric suggests, and exposing that truth is a step toward accountability.
