Shocking Video Captures Popular Chef Pleading for Life After Shooting
A disturbing surveillance video has captured the moment when celebrity chef Tobias Dorzon and a female companion were ambushed and shot after leaving an Uber rideshare car in Hyattsville, Maryland.
The late-night attack resulted in both victims heading to the hospital with multiple gunshot wounds, but they are expected to survive, as the Daily Caller reports.
The incident unfolded just after 10 p.m. on Tuesday when Dorzon and his companion exited an Uber car.
Almost immediately, they were confronted by a violent attack that was recorded on nearby surveillance cameras.
Surveillance Footage Reveals Terrifying Details
The video showed a white SUV trailing the Uber before the shooting began. As Dorzon and his companion stepped out of the vehicle, gunfire erupted from multiple gunmen who suddenly appeared in the frame.
The footage captured three of the attackers wielding handguns and one equipped with a short rifle.
According to Hyattsville Police Department Chief Jarod J. Towers, the men began firing before any verbal demands were made.
Police Chief Describes Gunmen's Ruthless Approach
Chief Towers highlighted the ruthlessness of the assault, stating, "Three of the males were armed with handguns, and one was armed with what we believe was a short rifle of some sort."
When asked whether the suspects shot without making demands, he confirmed, "Absolutely. No question."
The gunmen unleashed a barrage of bullets, striking not only the victims but also multiple vehicles in the vicinity. The female companion was observed limping across a grassy area to take cover behind a vehicle.

The suspects were seen fleeing the scene in the white SUV that had been lying in wait. This vehicle was last spotted departing Kirkwood Place, and authorities are currently conducting a search to locate it.
Chief Towers expressed his dismay at the violent nature of the crime, saying, "This is barbarous activity and conduct by violent criminals." The community has been left shaken by the brutality of the attack.

Outside of his recent tragic encounter, Dorzon is well-known in the Maryland community not just for his culinary achievements but also for his previous career.
Before turning to the culinary arts, Dorzon played professional football with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tennessee Titans.
He has since made a name for himself in the food industry, hosting a popular cooking show Timeout with Tobias and appearing on the Food Network. Dorzon owns two successful restaurants in Prince George’s County, Huncho House and 1123 by Chef Tobias.
