Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) has filed an ethics complaint against New York Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan, alleging a potentially disqualifying conflict of interest.

Stefanik charges that Justice Merchan’s impartiality is compromised due to his daughter's company's financial relationship with Harris’s campaign, doing so even as Merchan postponed President Trump’s sentencing, as Fox News reports.

"This indicates that one of the very first things that Harris did upon taking over the Biden campaign infrastructure is to hire this firm, Authentic," Stefanik said, referring to the timing of the contract.
