Sen. Mike Lee has unveiled a proposal that could reshape federal oversight, introducing the REINS Act during a discussion on X with influential voice Elon Musk.

Designed to enhance the federal legislative process, the REINS Act seeks to require congressional approval for any significant regulations proposed by federal agencies, a move that has garnered support from various Republican lawmakers, the Daily Wire reported.

The REINS Act stands for Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny Act and aims to transfer significant power back to Congress.
