Tom Brady denies report that he’s going to quit his job at Fox

 May 7, 2023

Tom Brady, the 7-time Super Bowl winner, recently slammed reports claiming that he could back out of his 10-year, $375 million deal as an NFL analyst for Fox as 'fake news'.

Brady made the remarks on Instagram in response to a post by referencing a report initially appearing in the New York Post.

Brady's Retirement and Transition to Analyst Role

At forty-five, Brady retired again in February 2023, insisting that this time, he is indeed stepping away from football “for good”.

During an interview with Colin Cowherd on FOX Sports shortly after his retirement announcement in February 2023, Brady confirmed that he would only be taking on his new role as an NFL analyst after this season.

He emphasized the importance of "decompression" and expressed his desire to take some time to learn and become great at his new job.

In discussing his upcoming role, Brady explained his desire to become great at what he wants to do and not rush into anything.

He also shared his appreciation for the people at Fox Sports and their leadership, who have supported his decision to begin this new opportunity in 2024 and accommodate his transition timeline.

Brady envisions his future role as an analyst as an opportunity to learn as much as to teach.

In his “Let's Go!” podcast in January 2023, he shared his excitement about traveling around, learning from people he has looked up to, and engaging with different organizations and individuals in the future.

Rumors of a Second Retirement U-Turn

Following his retirement in February 2023 after the Tampa Bay Buccaneer's playoff defeat by the Dallas Cowboys, Brady has recently been linked to a second retirement U-turn.

At a tech event in Miami, he did not entirely dismiss the suggestion of coming out of retirement to play for the Dolphins.

While he mentioned having friends on the Dolphins and rooting for them occasionally, he did not provide a definitive answer.

When rumors first surfaced about his potential return to the NFL earlier this year, Brady quickly took to social media to quell the speculation, jokingly writing: "Anyone who thinks I have time to come back to the NFL has never adopted a two-month-old kitten for their daughter."

Brady's New Journey

Brady's enthusiasm for learning and commitment to excellence has been evident throughout his illustrious career.

As he prepares to embark on his new journey with Fox Sports, it seems clear that he is dedicated to making the most of his new opportunity, despite rumors to the contrary.
