Tucker Carlson claims Obama did drugs and had gay sex

 August 31, 2023

Journalist Tucker Carlson has ignited a new conversation surrounding Barack Obama's past, alleging that the former president had physical relationships with men and used narcotics.

Carlson asserted that the media ignored these allegations during the run-up to the 2008 presidential campaign run-up, as the Daily Mail reported.

Carlson Revives Past Allegations

Carlson sourced his comments from allegations previously made by Larry Sinclair, who contended that he and then-Senator Obama used cocaine together and shared an intimate relationship in 1999.

Such claims were previously rejected by many as politically motivated character assassination attempts.

The former Fox News host, however, stated during an appearance on the Adam Carolla Show that, "In 2008, it became really clear that Barack Obama had been having sex with men and smoking crack."

Carlson stated the media didn't cover the story, not due to sensitivities about sex or drugs, but because the Obama campaign warned that anyone publicizing it would be denied access to the campaign. Thus, it went unreported.

Sinclair's Stance

Sinclair, who has a history of criminal convictions, detailed his allegations against Obama in a 2009 self-published book. He also asserted that the former president had another male romantic partner and hinted at his involvement in that individual's death.

Despite criticisms regarding his criminal past, Sinclair stood by his claims during his 2018 mayoral run in Cocoa, Florida.

Referring to his book, Sinclair emphasized, "My book speaks for itself, and I do not backtrack anything that I said at that press conference."

Diving Deeper into the Past

Further into the conversation, Carlson pointed to a 1982 letter penned by a 21-year-old Obama to his former girlfriend, Alex McNear.

In the correspondence, he explored the subject of homosexuality, revealing that he loved "making love to men daily, but in the imagination," as cited from a section of the letter previously withheld, but which the New York Post later acquired.

Biographer David Garrow examined Obama's thoughts on homosexuality in this letter. He wrote, "In regard to homosexuality, I must say that I believe this is an attempt to remove oneself from the present, a refusal perhaps to perpetuate the endless farce of earthly life."

Obama also touched on the idea of an androgynous mindset, expressing a wish for thinking "in terms of people, not women as opposed to men."

While the letter did share intimate thoughts, Obama emphasized his choice to identify and live as a male. Obama, who has been married to wife Michelle since 1992 and has two daughters, once expressed opposition to gay marriage in 2004.

However, he shifted his stance while in office, celebrating the federal legalization of same-sex marriage in 2015.

On Current Political Affairs

In the same episode of the Adam Carolla Show, Carlson also shared his views on the Biden administration, asserting that officials might resort to military conflict with Russia for political advantage.

"They are going to go to war with Russia, that's what they are going to do," Carlson predicted. He further urged the Republican side of Congress to exert pressure in the opposite direction in order to maintain peace.
