Ukrainian ex-prosecutor says Bidens were being bribed

 August 28, 2023

Viktor Shokin, the former prosecutor general of Ukraine, has just alleged that both former Vice President Joe Biden and his son, Hunter Biden, had illicit financial ties with Ukrainian energy company Burisma, as the Daily Wire reported.

Shokin Alleges Biden-Driven Dismissal

Shokin, who once spearheaded an investigation into the aforementioned company, believes that he was removed from his position due to Biden's influence.

The prosecutor's removal came during the final stretch of the Obama administration, with Joe Biden allegedly using a $1 billion in U.S. financial assistance as leverage.

Shokin conveyed his belief that his performance as a prosecutor was never under genuine scrutiny.

On the contrary, he feels his country faced international embarrassment due to external pressures.

Shokin plays a pivotal role in the debate regarding alleged influence exerted by the Biden family, which might lead to a House impeachment inquiry as soon as next month, as the New York Post reported.

Hunter Biden's Role at Burisma

In his conversation with Fox News' Brian Kilmeade, Shokin expressed his suspicions about Hunter Biden's involvement with the company.

He claimed that Hunter's addition to Burisma's board wasn't purely professional but was more about shielding the company's CEO and founder, Mykola Zlochevsky.

Furthermore, Shokin revealed that there was a pre-existing criminal case against Burisma even before he took charge.

He mentioned, "Zlochevsky, who at the time held the post of minister and was the founder and CEO of Burisma, started bringing in people who could provide protection for him. Hunter Biden was among them, and the corruption network expanded as a result."

He added confidently that Burisma's operations were far from clean.

Shokin claimed his dismissal resulted from his pursuit of the investigation, which would have uncovered their corrupt actions.

He mentioned that detailing all the charges being examined by the prosecutors and the company's illegal activities in the gas sector would require significant time.

Direct Accusations against the Bidens

Although he remained cautious, Shokin didn't hesitate to make claims about the Bidens.

When questioned about the possibility of the Bidens receiving bribes, he said, "I do not want to deal in unproven facts, but my firm personal conviction is that, yes, this was the case."

He added, "They were being bribed."

Emphasizing the gravity of his claim, Shokin pointed out, "And the fact that Joe Biden gave away $1 billion in U.S. money in exchange for my dismissal, my firing, isn’t that alone a case of corruption?"
